Overall, the body is holding up well for a 9 year old vehicle and my xB is extremely clean. However, I have noticed some slight surface rust forming on the passenger side rear rocker panel towards the bottom of the wheel opening and along the pinch welds. I am curious to hear how other xBs are holding up especially in the rust belt.

First, raise and secure the vehicle, then remove the tire and wheel. The spindle nut is often "staked" or secured with locking tabs.

I am leaning towards automatic (no, I don't care that you don't like automatics. I prefer auto for this particular vehicle).

Jan 15, 2009 · Triangles make for the strongest points. A basic roll cage is a loop which is two points, and mounts behind the drivers seat. They also get into 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 point cages. The more points, the more your chassis is connected. There is currently NO bolt in, or weld in pre made roll cages for the Scion xB.
